Story Management

Creative Writing has something called Scenes, and it helps slow down the story and really describe what is happening. So I like this tool. YouTube channel Writing With Andrew has a video titled “Inviting your Readers into: Scene and Summary” and “A Starting Guide for Writing Nonfiction.” Basically in the videos he highlights that scenes fill out the moment that I am trying to capture with sensory details, dialogues and specific interactions....

Game Art

The indi game art scene has a particular simplicity and look to it. Often pixel art, but sometimes basic 3d but also looking like hand drawn. I am looking forward to learning how to make more art with some of the online courses I purchased with GameDev.tv which are focused on Blender and Asprite. Digital art luckily can come in many forms. Garden Grass

With the extreme drought and lack of rain or snow, I have been looking into alternatives to Kentucky Bluegrass. First I thought white clover, then micro clover and fescue mix, then flowering mix, and even buckwheat. But then I came across Yarrow. I have seen this one before and I love its fern like leaves. So now I think I want pretty much all these. Gone are the days for the bluegrass....

Heavy Run Commute

My backpack was so heavy for this mornings run commute. I wish I had run back to the flat with it on too, but I took a bus back. Feels good to be getting stronger. Heavy run commutes will help for future ultras and uphill races.
