Sitting on the poach and listening to Danish Radio’s classical music channel. I am thinking about white clouds in the sky and how the sun is setting and that I have not just looked up into the sky watched clouds move. I am really glad I purchased while in Heathrow the book on “The Daily Stoic” which has 365 lessons. I read alot of it on the plane and also coded alot of go on the plane and talked to someone who was a volunteer wild land firefighter....
In making a game its good to have a active PM. She thought I would benefit from having a UX expert help in the discussion to give me action items: make a strait forward scenario that shows the game mechanic. Whether that is in sketches, frames, power points. describe in more detail the mini game. share free resources where to get images so we can create art. So now I have alot of homework to do, but I feel good as I understand the direction better....
I have not updated the blog due to a work project that has taken now 5 weeks. Some of the project management lessons I have learned: Scope out projects better…. espically the fundamental truthes that the projects presume. Make sure you have enough people for projects. If initial people are not enough, then it will be a problem. If there is a problem. Stop and get attention to the situation. Other things I learned personally....
I normally write about the big goals I have but some smaller goals are: Learn how to do pull ups. Read more about stoic philosophy in my new book. Bike out to Parker and go to Fidd ka. Start seeds. Sign up for marathons next year. Go see a Starship launch Try and do more boot.dev and Head First Go book. Attend more open air events this summer. Learn how to play golf, tennis, pickle ball....
Well I am back from vacation and totally didnt work on anything via a computer but rather tried to be in the moment and take things in. Some goals for next couple weeks: Perhaps sign up for a instructor run Network+ course… Do the UX/UI of the game. Do more online stuff like make a merch store for the game. I am looking forward to a straw bale workshop that I signed up for, but need to make a youtube channel and make some videos to then start up Coorie Home again....
