Listening to Shonan Beach FM and jazz while doing boot.dev is great. Its fun to hear Japanese and jazz music that I would normally never hear. Easy listening for learning hard code. Its also nice to use Shortwave radio player to easily listen to it. Sometimes I also pull up their webcam: https://www.beachfm.co.jp/radio/ Overall, its cool.
For video game development, it feels like your building plane while flying. Like flying a plane, checklists are key. Some of the goals that I want to check for any of the games I might make: Is Game loop fun? Have a educational/historical component? Highlight advocacy for sustainability (like trains, or environment or construction) Play the video game twice a week, write down bugs, features, thoughts or hopes. Create Youtube video or social media post or reach out to game reviewers....
I am using three or four or five different computers, some windows, some mac and many Linux when doing online study. Its getting hard to make sure what files from tutorials are on which computers. I often use GitHub to control these text files, but now its going to be media files, images, video and audio. So I am learning about Syncthing to be able to sync all these things across the internet....
Finally in the Data Structures and Algorithms lesson of BootDev. So on top of that its also Python. I thought Functional Programming was going to be tuff…which had 68 exams, this has 126. After this I am going to build an AI agent, and then a Static Site Generator. Then we go in to C programming language and specifically Memory Management. Man I cant wait for Go and Databases and Docker....
I am a big fan of organic pools. But not a big fan of murky lakes. After practicing triathlon swims in murky lakes, and racing in them too, I can say its one of the things I don’t like about the sport. I do like my local pool. Even though in the summer it has bugs, debris and the sting of sunscreen water. I don’t like the geese deposits, the duty that dogs, cows and inflated prairie dogs floating like ruby balls....
