Snow on peaks

As I look across reservoir “lake” Dillon, I see above treeline snow. Its both great to see but ominous to know that winter is coming. Very relieved to have a plan on the video game as well. However I will have to increase the project cost and scope with the crowdfunding campaign. So with excitement of front page Vail Daily articles about western slope passenger rail lines, and how the video game will help those dreams, I know it will be a long winter and spring is far off....

Project initiation phase

While swimming I thought about three things: Rail game Triathlon plan Swimming Rail game I have to re-plan the project due to cost. There will be a discovery phase and then a development phase. The discovery phase will cost as much as I thought the whole project would cost. Then I have no idea on the development phase. I can pay for the discovery phase, which will then give me enough content to then go live with crowdfunding, YouTube and merch....

Comet and aspen leaves

Seeing a comet is really a rare joy. Since there is one up right now, and it wont be visible for another 80,000 years or if ever, it really made makes me think of those timelines which are so hard to understand and grasp. A space.com article said it is making its “first and last appearance.” The brief nature of the comet for us on earth made me think of all the cool aspen leaves that I have seen on the ground this fall....

Swim Run Study

The plan was to run to the pool and then swim, but then it started to look rainy. By the time I made it in the pool it was starting to rain. I was glad to not be running in the rain. What you might not know is if its raining over a large body of water, each rain droplets bounce upward in the pool as the surface tension of water breaks gravity....

Starship and Network Simulator

Woke up really early on a Sunday by my alarm which somehow was still set from a early morning race. Luckily this was launch day and my overall impression of the launch was that I am really surprised that the Booster was caught by the chopsticks. I was also surprised that the Starship still had a bit of tile issues near the flap. Later in the day I re-started my learning for the CCNA with a change, from studying subnetting to using the network simulator to start learning how to interact with routers and switches....
