Long weekend goals

With Labor day coming up, I have a big backlog of things to work on. Work on game. Specifically hand over the UX workflow to the dev team. Learn more CCNA. Get Packet Tracer app up and play around. Learn more Go. Do a bit of Tableau. Do YouTube video of Straw Bale House project. Do YouTube video of game development. Also I want to do some other things. Plan Trip to Finland/Estonia See if I should register for Ironman Copenhagen Do lots of running....

Excited to learn more

Today I learned that a Network tech coworker passed his CCNA. In the last couple of weeks and days I too have been studying the CCNA and I really like to see someone I know pass it. Basically I also purchased a video course on IP Subnetting, so I really am glad to have books, videos, Cisco Packet Tracer software and now a coworker to tap into for my learning....

Planning

Been thinking about planning lately. I need alot of planning. With projects like the video game, straw bale house and YouTube content creation for both of those projects, and other goals with my online courses. I am now trying to plan other things and I realized I have not saved enough to include them in any kind of timeline. Like standing behind the finish line vs right in front of it, planning is really important....

Homelab for learning

I finally have enough old equipment to start a homelab. Some of it includes Old WAPs Network switches Cloudcore router Firewall Fiber and SFPs Old micro desktops Possible old working server What I have for plans is to create this homelab and then somehow set up a way to remotely log into it. But I really have no idea how to do this right now. Also I don’t know where it should be placed… and where a good spot would be for it to live....

Learn Search and Select in Bash History

I finally learned how to write out a particular line in history. I can never remember the IP address o log into a VPS via SSH. So I have to rely on typing history and then finding where I had last typed it and then copy and pasting the input into the new bash line. This all is a pain. So I finally Googled something like search bash history and select input and found a forum post where the person said CMD + R....
