While taking my online course SQL for Data Science on Coursera, I really under estimated that the exams would be quite long with alot of queries. It was pretty painful to get my head thinking about how to write them and I was getting pretty impatient. However, writing these queries is getting me excited when I eventually learn how to write in Go and be able to connect my app with the database....
Looking back When I first learned about VIM, it blew my mind that you didnt need a mouse. It took me a while to get used to VIM motions but I can still look back to that day when I felt like a real programmer. Now fast forward some years and I am learning TMUX and that seems like a like another milestone in learning programming. To be able to pickup up wher I left off on one computer and start on another is suck a game changer, let alone when I forget to sign off and my pipe gets disconnected....
Since migrating this website, I am seeing what I used to have and what I have now. It reminded me that I also have an about page on Github. So when I looked at that I decided to move that over to the about page on this website. When reading it, I realized that I had a “Tech Goal” of “Creating a blog with either django or Go about my coding journey....
Today I had a common theme of asking the question. In a meeting, I asked the same question twice for someone to answered it. In a group chat for a project management technical apprenticeship program I asked if anybody wants to join me in making docs and templates. I asked open ended questions in emails. I asked where I could get information from another team. So, never be afraid to ask questions....
I am putting all my old blog posts into Hugo… it took a while as I basically have never done a large hugo site. I think I understand the structure of HUGO. I like it uses Markdown. But I wish I had more control over the theme.
