I have a couple books that I want to take notes from in order to then draw upon that research later for Colorado Rail Game and Sauna Game and perhaps Coorie Home Game. After watching Daily Stoic videos where Ryan Holiday talks about his way of writing books, I think I want to follow his process. Read book with pencil/Pen and mark up the book when reading. Fold pages back or sticky note them....
I am excited to learn more Godot. However I have purchased a couple tutorials from Zenva, and I see they are using 3D models in Godot. Now I need to learn Blender so I can make 3D models possibly for the video games ideas. Something in me really likes the idea of using 3d for the River game and also for the stations in Colorado Rail Game. Cant wait to bring these ideas into reality....
Right now with Boot.Dev I am using Boots the AI for when I get stuck. I am starting to go though the tutorials for Godot… and those don’t have AI helpers. So I am not sure when I start building my own games how I will get help coding. I do kinda wish I would take part in a GameDev.TV game dev training program. But I really need to get though the tutorials and release the progress on itch....
Having a bike share right outside is great in the morning. Often there are many bikes, crowding out the bike stand. They are all pedal assist e-bikes. The first bit is choosing what route to go. Either under a bridge and across the roundabout circles or up and over the bike bridge. The bridge is good in the morning, as it feels faster and its not as cold. The roundabout and river are good in the afternoon as its cooler and the river is lit up by the sun....
I really like the goal of a river video game. Some reasons: Apply Godot learnings into the game. River is right though town, and I also like creeks. I can put my feet in the river after a run and call it ‘research’ for the game. I am going to do a volunteer session for 4 times that will either clean up the river from fire brush or trash, or even plant plants....
