Slow Jog Slow Learning

I went running on the treadmill again to get ready for the marathons and what struck me was how boring it was. I was constantly looking at my phone and changing music. So I thought I should use a ipad to study my courses on Coursera. So after setting up Bluetooth headphones I was able to study TCP/IP and Hotel Financials course. It was great. Hyperloop and trains

Recently I have seen alot of positive updates regarding hyperloops and trains. Specifically, hyperloop test track updates in Europe and Colorado and passenger rail plans in Colorado. For hyperloop, Hardt Hyperloop and the European Hyperloop Center are completing their test track. I would love to see this in person. Also Swiss Pod is starting their test track in Pueblo Colorado at the PuebloPlex train testing facility. I too would love to visit this and support this....

I3 and studies

I have enjoyed using my old laptop with Fedora and using i3 as my window manager. I definitely forgot a lot but having the computer really do only so much helps me focus more so I don’t get distracted. Also the battery lasts longer as I just have Firefox and my terminal open. In Firefox I have added the extension called Vimium so I can navigate faster witout using the mouse....

Building off of layers

In studding the OSI model layers, I am reminded of straw bale construction and plastering in layers. I am re-learning from my notes for the Network+ exam and it appears to make more sense this second time around. I also cant wait to re-learn straw bale construction and plastering.
